IT'S TIME TO PAY YOUR PROPERTY TAXES IN LOS CABOS!
January is the beginning of the 2024 Property Tax season in Los Cabos. If you're still on the lookout for a home, it's worth noting that Los Cabos Property Taxes are significantly lower than what most individuals pay in the U.S. and Canada—a definite perk of owning a home in this paradise!
For those who already own property in Cabo, bear in mind that Property Tax and Fideicomiso trust statements won't be sent via mail or electronically. We recommend setting a yearly calendar reminder for these dates to ensure you don't overlook these important obligations. While your Fideicomiso is paid yearly based on the month of your closing, Property taxes are always paid in January. Homeowners who settle their payments in January enjoy a generous 20% discount, 15% if paid in February, 10% in March, and 5% in April. All payments must be made by the end of May.
You can conveniently make your tax payments online at www.tesoreria.loscabos.gob.mx or in person in Cabo or San Jose from 8am to 3pm. Remember to bring along a copy of your deed or document containing your CLAVE CATASTRAL number. You may also check the status of your account via WhatsApp (624) 315-1516.
